GOVERNING DOCUMENTS
The White Book, Code of Conduct, Code of Governance and Group policies form the foundation for strong corporate governance across all of the Group’s operations.
Clear corporate governance within Stena AB is essential for conducting good business, building trust, and ensuring that we work together with a shared culture.
The White Book
In the White Book, Stena’s CEO and principal owner, Dan Sten Olsson, has formulated the principles, convictions and fundamental values that apply to all the Group’s companies. It sets out success factors and describes the focus areas arising from the Group’s values.
The White Book establishes a shared set of guiding principles for the Group and guides operations across all business areas. A central starting point is care, which permeates the corporate culture and serves as a guide in decision-making and in relationships with customers, employees, and business partners. Based on these guiding principles, Stena strives to build long-term and responsible business relationships, where openness, clear communication, and accountability are key pillars.
Code of Conduct
Stena’s Code of Conduct describes how Stena should act to uphold its values and commitments in areas such as the environment, social conditions, employees, human rights, and anti-corruption. It also outlines relationships with business partners and situations which Stena has the right to withdraw from a relationship if a partner does not meet the standard for responsible business conduct. The Code of Conduct is part of the onboarding process for new employees.
Code of Governance
The Code of Governance explains how Stena AB Group and its wholly owned subsidiaries are governed—who decides what, and how decisions are made and documented. It sets expectations for compliance with key group governing documents. It describes the roles of shareholders, boards, and management, and how authority is delegated. It also outlines core controls and ways of working for areas such as risk, contracts, compliance, IT, and information security. Overall, it provides a common framework to safeguard assets, build trust, and support responsible long-term performance.
Group Policies
The group-wide policies mentioned below are reviewed on an ongoing basis to cover relevant areas and are applicable to all group companies. The companies also have their own policies that apply to their specific operations. The policies are available through the Group’s intranet, and employees are expected to be familiar with the content.
